Lahore, Pakistan – January 10, 2026: The Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Federation is proud to announce that the Asian Mas-Wrestling Championship 2026 will be hosted in Lahore from May 10–15, 2026. This premier event will bring together top athletes from across Asia to compete in one of the continent’s fastest-growing traditional sports.
Nawab Furqan Khan, President of the Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Federation and Vice President of the Asian Mas-Wrestling Federation, stated:
“We are thrilled to host the Asian Mas-Wrestling Championship 2026 in Lahore. This event is a remarkable opportunity for our athletes to demonstrate their strength, skill, and dedication on the continental stage. We encourage all aspiring wrestlers to start preparing for the national trials and represent Pakistan with pride. Together, we will showcase Pakistan’s talent and tradition in Mas-Wrestling to Asia and the world.”
Team Pakistan Trials:
All athletes aspiring to represent Pakistan are encouraged to begin preparations immediately, as the trials for Team Pakistan will commence in the last week of March 2026.
Categories & Representation:
- Senior Category (18+): 3 teams will represent Pakistan
- Youth Category (16–17 years, born 2009–2010): 2 teams will represent Pakistan
Weight Divisions:
18+ Men: 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 105, 125, 125+
18+ Women: 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 85, 85+
16–17 Years Men: 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 90, 90+
16–17 Years Women: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 70+
Absolute Category:
- Men: 90 kg and above
- Women: 75 kg and above
The main competition will take place in Lahore on May 13–14, 2026.
